MGM Mirage in Las Vegas announced today it is teaming up with n Asian development company to build a casino “Las Vegas- Style” in Vietnam.
Asian Coast Development will own and finance the MGM Grand Ho Tram, however MGM Mirage will be giving invaluable development assistance and will operate the property once it is completed.
Plans are to build MGM Grand Ho Tram the $4.2 billion resort complex, about 80 miles away from HO Chi Minh City, along the South China Sea beaches. With 1,100 rooms, a gaming area, luxury retail, live entertainment stages and beachfront recreation the hotel should be amazing.
Lloyd Nathan, executive vice president of MGM Mirage Global Gaming Development said in a statement released Tuesday, “MGM Grand Ho Tram’s prime beach-front location affords us an even greater opportunity to provide our guests with a spectacular experience, a showplace for the further development of high-end international tourism in Vietnam.”
Finished with a Greg Norman designed 18-hole golf course the resort is expected to open in 2011.
